I've gotten a few emails today asking about whether or not the vigil is still on. I just spoke with Pastor Tom, and he assured me that the vigil will still be taking place.
I know the snow is coming down, so please give yourself enough time to get there. If you cannot make it, please take a moment at 4pm to say a prayer for Jaiden.

Happy New Year Tlapa family! I was not able to make the prayer vigil because of the snow and I was concerned about driving over Temple mountain. I was, however, outside showeling snow just after 4:00 and I began to pray for Jaiden's continued healing. All of a sudden with the snow continuing to fall, the sky began to clear and I could see a blue patch of sky. I felt such a sense of relief at that moment. I hope your are all getting enough rest and know that we are all praying for a new year's miracle for your family.

Hi Jaiden,
We just got home from the prayer vigil for you at church. It was so nice. The church was packed full of people who came to pray for you to get better. There are lots of people who could not make it to the church that were praying for you at the same time too. We met your grandparents and saw Alexeigh, Aspen and Gage there. Alexeigh was really sad but she was very nice to everyone that just wanted to give her a big hug ... even if she did not know them yet. I bet that's a tough thing for a teenager to do! Lot's of people made cards for you. They also video taped messages for you and your parents. We hope you got lots of rest today so you can take your next big healing step tomorrow.

I went to your prayer vigil tonight. We baked sugar cookies (my choice!)and decorated them with ribbons. I saw Geena, Shannon, Lauren, Maddy, Michael, Mason and Danny there. I lit a candle for you while we were there. I probably won't get to talk to you until after school tomorrow. School will not be as fun tomorrow without you there! I am going to bed now. WOW! You are such a loved little girl. So many people came to our church today for you and your family. Everyone is eagerly awaiting your improvements. Pastor Tom said such a wonderful prayer for you. We also said a prayer for your mom and dad and all your family members too. Your grandma got a lot of candles to bring to Boston. As you can see by our 4 identical messages we struggled getting this on the blog. But you know what? If we posted the message a million times it wouldn't be too many times. I hope that you and Snoopy had a restful night and that mommy and daddy got some good rest. Did you know that someone in South Africa is praying for you? South Africa is so beautiful. I remember the night we had the 2 flat tires and we had to get out to change them and that night the northern lights were spectacular. We never would have seen them if we didn't have the flat tire. I trust that God has a special plan Jaiden. It's just that it feels like we have 4 flat tires right now. We love you so much sweety.
