Jaiden's Fund

Jaiden Lyndi Tlapa Fund

A fund has been set up at TD BankNorth on behalf of Jaiden Tlapa and her family. The community support for Jaiden and the entire Tlapa family has been truly remarkable. Community members, and local businesses continue to come forward asking how they can help.

Jaiden remains in the Intensive Care Unit at Children’s Hospital. Although the extent of her future medical needs remains unknown, a fund has been created to help defray any financial burdens.

Checks may be made payable to the Jaiden Lyndi Tlapa Fund and brought to any TD BankNorth branch.
Paul and Holleigh Tlapa have been deeply touched by the outcry of support that they have received from family, friends and the community. They have also been saddened however, at the realization that not all families are awarded the support and resources that they have received. In the event that the donations exceed the family’s needs, Holleigh and Paul plan to set up a foundation to help other families in the community with similar needs.

Donations can be made at any TD BankNorth branch.

Checks should be made payable to the:

Jaiden Lyndi Tlapa Fund

Donations can also be mailed to:

I have been reading this blog every few days to hear if there is any improvement in Jaiden's condition. Is there any news since here last MRI and how is the family doing. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends who have been affected by this terrible tradegy.

Our thoughts and prayers are constantly with Jaiden, her family and friends. There isn't an hour that goes by without one of our daugthers asking or mentioning Jaiden. They have all mentioned how their friends and teachers at Heron Pond have discussed Jaiden on a constant basis as well.
Every evening our daughters say a prayer for Jaiden and her family... and we will continue to do so... our thoughts and our prayers are with Jaiden and her family.

Dear Jaiden,

We think of you all the time, and continue to pray for you. We hope that by now you have received the package we sent & that you & your mom enjoy reading the books. We also sent a copy of a prayer that we have been saying every night so your mom could read that to you, too. Henry asks about you often.

We know that you are a fighter, so fight hard.

Love,

I just read of the blog in the Milford Observer. May God do a wonderous work in this situation. My heart cries out to God for His touch on this sweet child, and His peace and presence to her family at this time. I am sending out a bulletin with the blog addy and requests for prayers to my friends everywhere, from the US to England and beyond. I ask in the name of Jesus that God touch the world to pray, to believe, to stand strong with this child and her family until she is well and home again. May the love of God touch many, many people through this situation, may they be humbled as I am tonight to get on their knees and simply ask Him to be with Jaiden and her family. With so much love to you tonight Jaiden, we stand with you in faith and believe as God has give to us to do in His name.

Paul and Holleigh,
I keep reading the blog everyday and see the huge out pouring that has come your way. In the words of Hillary Clinton I believe it was: "It takes a village to raise a child" and your village is showing you that they love each and everyone of you.

I had the honor to meet some of these wonderful friends that you all have at the fund raising meeting the other night and to see that kind of support makes me relize why the blog started and why there are so many people wanting to help your family.

May you know how much we care. And that we pray for the best for Jaiden and strenght for all of you.

Hi Jaiden,
It's me Jen. Are you ready for our recess talk today? If you are, close your eyes and pretend we are walking around the structure. Today we are walking with Mary, Geena, Maddy, Nikita, Devany and Heather. Today I had a basketball game against Nikita's team which is the green team. Did your team already play the green team? The whole game I was guarding Nikita. I think I made one or two baskets today. My team won. Here's your math questions for today ... 30+30=______. Try to remember all your answers so when you wake up you can tell them all to your parents. After Basketball I went home and got on Webkinz. I was going on all of my webkinz to make sure they were all healthy and changing their clothes. I was also going through all of their rooms and redecorating them. I wonder how your webkinz are doing? Is Geena watching them for you? If not maybe your Mom and Dad could send me your user name and password and I will watch them for you. How many webkinz do you have? Your Mom said the pink poodle was your favorite webkinz. I have two favorites, my pink poodle (just like you!) and my new reindeer. Since my pink poodle was my first favorite I named it after my Mom, Kathy. I named my reindeer Comet (not Rudolph, because it does not have a red nose). I have 12 webkinz now. Mom my says that is toooo many but I don't think she's right! My friend Mia has 33 and of course you know Geena has 31! Do you think I should tell you all of the names of my webkinz? OK, here they are. Dotty, Fluffy, Shimmer, Sarah, Kara, Piggy, Kathy, Cutie, Lilly, Comet, Spirit (gasp) and Spike. I ran out of breath trying to say them all at once. I got a Christmas Bear from my secret santa at school and I named her Jaiden. That's a long recess talk for today.(Mostly webkinz.) Plus it is getting late. That's all we can fit in for today. Now I know that I am going to send you a webkinz. I am not sure what kind yet. My Dad just said it's time to go to bed now so I guess I have to stop. Remember to look at friendly faces. Bye!
Love,
Jen

Good Night Jaiden,
We hope you had a good day today. We asked everyone we know to pray extra hard for you today. We hope it helped! We know that one day soon you will look at us, smile that bright smile we love and all will be right in the world again. Everywhere we went today people were asking how they could get ribbons to wear and ribbons for their car windows or mailboxes. They told us how friends and co-workers, relatives from far away were all sending donations for you. We have started planning a big party to help raise money to pay for all the wonderful care your doctors and nurses are giving you. (the best care ... from Mommy and Daddy is free!) So many people came up to us today offering to donate things for the party. Everyone wants to help in anyway that they can. It makes us feel very proud to live in Milford, NH. We hope you are proud to live here too. You have truly become a part of every Milford family over these last 2 weeks.
Sleep well sweet angel, so many prayers are with you.
Love and Prayers,

We hope you had a good day baby. I know Mom and Dad were very focused on you today and waiting for you to give them a sign.

It was a tough day at the Griggs house. Mary and Addie missed you terribly today.

Grandma Mev stopped by, she and Granpa looked so good. They love you so much Jaiden.

Billy and Mary fell asleep listening to the Red Hot Chilli Peppers because they remind them of you.

I'm looking forward to seeing you soon. I believe baby girl.

Dear Jaiden,
Today it is warmer but very cloudy. I hope that it is sunny and bright in your room and in your dreams and that you feel that warmth. Bud brought the boys skiing again today but I had so much work to get ready for school tomorrow. I was thinking about when you were in my preschool class. It was my first year teaching and your class was a perfect introduction into education. The good news is that your class made my love and passion for education grow into a life long career. Thank you for being part of that life changing experience for me. I have already planned to attend your class' high school graduation and give each one of you a big hug. You know that preschool really is the most important year of school, right? Well, for now your job is to rest and heal and to give your Mama that sweet look and smile. You and your parents are in my thoughts and prayers today and always.

Holleigh and Paul,
I read the blog every day since my son told us that Lexi's little sister was the little girl hurt in a tragic accident. I was so greatful to be able to help out with the fund raising. I was totally in awe at the out pouring of support. Not surprised though. We live in a great community as we have always known. We are just learning that when someone is in need, (be it prayer or in other ways) the community as a whole steps up.
We know that if others were walking in your shoes right now that you would be stepping up to do what you could also.

May you know that the prayers and support will continue through out this really long process of healing that is taking place.

Jaiden and the rest of you and your extended family are in our thoughts and prayers every moment of every day!

Make sure that you and your family rest. It is hard to take care of Jaiden and the other children if your strengh is not there.

The Taylor Family
God Bless you all!

Jaiden-

I saw a picture of a snowman someone took for you and put on this site for you to see. I guess you must really like snowmen. That one is actually right near my house, so every time I see it now, I think of you! Today I was driving and I saw the biggest snowman I've ever seen! It was even taller than the house it was next to! Some people took a big truck and piled up all the snow from their yard and somehow made it into a GIANT snowman! Next time I drive past it, I'll stop and take a picture for you. It's pretty neat.

People can do pretty amazing things. You are an amazing fighter. Your doctors are pretty amazing too. So are your family and your friends and everyone back at home and all over the world who is praying for you. Keep up the good work and we'll all see you again soon!

Dear Jaiden,
Addison was feeling sad this afternoon and was missing you so we started to look at photographs. There are some really great pictures from the day that you and Aspen and Mary came over to celebrate Addie's birthday. Her favorite one is when she was trying out her new pogo stick -- you were on one side of her and Mary was on the other -- all three of you were laughing so much. She wanted me to tell you about it and wish you sweet dreams.
Every day we continue to pray for you, sweetie.

Jaiden,

Good night sweet girl. I can't wait to see you soon. Alexeigh came tonight and we are so happy to have her. Having her here is like having a little piece of you, mama and daddy. Everytime Alexeigh gives you that look, you know the one Jaiden, it's like seeing your mommy and it makes me happy.

I gave Alexeigh permission to yell at Mary, Addie, Britt and Emma as much as she wants, she laughed. I then told her that I promise to yell at her everytime I yell at Britt. She laughed again but not quite as much:)

Brittany and Alexeigh have finals coming up in 1 week. Alexeigh has a relay track meet tomorrow at UNH so we will all be rooting her on. The rest of the week we will be studying, studying, studying. (I don't think they loved that) but this is their first experience with finals and they need to do their best, right?

I love you sweet girl, we are praying every second of the day baby.

Hi Jaiden,
It's me Jen. Are you ready for our recess talk? OK, close your eyes and pretend we are walking around the structure, Today, Mary, Geena, Maddy and Heather are walking with us. Today I sang in church in the choir. At the part where everyone in the church prays for different things all together we prayed for you to wake up. After church we went to the mall and Sarah and I got you 2 webkinz. We got you the LOVE FROG! The man in the store said he just got them in the night before and he was the only store in the mall that got them. That makes the Love Frog really special just like you. We also got you a Lil' Kinz but I won't tell you that one so it can be a surprise. My Mom will either give it to Geena's Mom to bring to you or she will bring them the next time she comes to see you. Today's talk is going to be short because my Mom let me stay up until 9pm to watch a show on TV so I have to get to bed fast! Today we did not really do that much so I guess that's it. Remember to cough or gag and look at friendly faces ... especially your family!
I already said one prayer for you before I wrote this but I will say another one when I get up to my bed.
Love,
Jen

Good Night Jaiden,
We hope you had a good day and will have an even better night sweetie. We got you a surprise today, (not the one Jen told you about) but you will have to wait until we see you again to find out what it is! We prayed very hard for you all day today but especially while we were at church. We asked everyone to pray that God will help you wake up from your coma soon ... and you know what? They all DID pray for just that very thing. We know you having been trying really hard to wake up. Don't give up Jaiden! Keep trying! Remember when you first started playing soccer? You were not a star soccer player right away. You had to practice a lot and keep trying to get as good as you are now, right? So we need you to keep practicing and trying to wake up until you are able to do it. Don't give up Jaiden! Everyone is stil, praying for you and thinking of you all day long. We are going to keep trying until we get it right too sweetie.

Dearest Tlapa Family,
I can hardly think of words to write that would even seem near enough to expressing how much my heart goes out to all of you. Since hearing about Jaiden I have struggled with what I could possibly do to help. Nothing seems like it could ever be enough. God reached into my heart and said to BE STILL and KNOW that He is God. Since that moment, I have prayed continuously for Jaiden's miraculous recovery as well as God's grace of strength, peace and healing in multiplicity for your precious daughter and all of your family. In past days the Hebrew prayer from the book of Numbers 6:24 & 25 keeps sounding loudly in my mind and my heart. So, included in my prayers for you and yours I have added from His word ...The Lord Bless you and Keep You; the Lord make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance on you, and give you peace. In His precious name may you be blessed!
In my prayers and thoughts you will remain until you are victorious.
With Love and Huge Hugs,

Hi Jaiden,

I hope your day was a restful one. We all need you to be so strong so that when you are ready your eyes will open and that bright smile will appear on your face!
We started a new story in class today called Watermelon Day. Do you remember it? You liked it. The story is about a little girl who plants a watermelon and she has to be SOOOO patient and wait for it to ripen. The day it is ready the weather is super hot and she has to wait for the watermelon to cool in the river. It makes her so appreciative of that watermelon when she gets to eat it. By the end of tomorrow, it will almost feel like watermelon weather. It is supposed to be sunny and 59*F. Maybe you could take a little peek out your window. Still waiting for my hug.

Love Miss Dilley

Mr and Mrs Tlapa,

I remember Jaiden enjoying this story last year and thought I would remind her of it. However, as I was typing I realized the greater meaning of my words...we have to wait on God's time and when He is ready oh how sweet her return will be. I can't imagine how challenging it is to be patient when you want your baby back, but know all around people are praying for your precious daughter.

Hi Jaiden, and Family - I was at the Jacques school today; there were just as many ribbons there as at Heron Pond on Thursday!! I don't know if all the kids know you, but I am pretty sure the teachers and staff do, and they all were wearing them too. I hope that it gives your heart a smile to know that so many people are thinking of you, wishing you well, keeping you in their thoughts, sending your positive wishes, and just plain praying for you. With all of this goodness coming your way I am sure that you will get better soon, that things will change for the better, and that your family will be able to smile again soon. The weather is warmer, so try to wake up so you can see the sun and feel the warmth of it on your face. Though it is January now, Spring will come as soon you wake up with a smile for your mom and dad, who surely do love you so much. Be strong, get healthy, and come home to all of us in Milford.

I read your blog everyday and I know that one day you will be able to read all the wonderful messages your friends are sending you. Until then, I am so very sure that you love to hear your Mothers voice as she reads to you. Jaiden it's Mr. P-C again. I keep thinking about you and praying for you and your family.

I was thinking of this Irish blessing and thought you might like it.
May the road rise to meet you
May the wind be always at your back
May the sun shine warm upon your face
May the rain fall softly on your fields
And until we meet again may God hold you in the palm of His hand.

This blessing is one of hope and growth. Waiting is hard but that is just giving God more time to help you get better. I know you are smiling inside and we are all waiting to for you to show us your smile again. Keep on fighting.

And until we meet again may God hold you in the palm of His hand.

Hi Jaiden,
It's me Jen. Are you ready for our recess talk? OK, close your eyes and pretend we are walking around the structure. Today we are walking with Geena, Mary, Maddy, Heather and Devany. When I was leaving to go to school I almost forgot to take off my slipper socks. I remembered though. I did enrichment today. It was double dutch. It was with Ms. Burbank. I was the one who jumped the most. I had a little bit of an advantage because Ms. Burbank came and taught my girl scout troop one day. Zoe, Dakota, Mia and Nikita were also in the class. They did pretty good too. I think everyone that is doing this enrichment, at the end will, be pretty good. Oh Yeah! I almost forgot to tell you ... I'm Star Student this week! That means I get a pencil case filled with markers, crayons, colored pencils and a sharpener to take home and make a poster all about me! I worked on the poster when I got home. I have to bring it back by Friday. I had basketball practice tonight. Devany was there. As soon as I got home from basketball I put my slipper socks back on. My Mom said I have to go to bed now so I guess that's all for recess talk for today.
My Mom and Dad are coming to see you again tomorrow. They are going to bring the presents we got you. Remember to cough or gag, look at friendly faces and most importantly rest so you can get better.
Prayers for you always!
Love,
Jen
