Kim Calden came by to pick up some ribbons for the Tlapa family for me and she informed me that Jaiden opened her eyes once again. This time she kept them open for approximately 3 minutes.

She is also responding to the light they are shining at her by wrinkling her forehead.

These are such positives signs. Please keep the prayers coming.

A lot of us started off as strangers however now with all the continuous prayers and thoughts for you jaiden and your family I feel we are all one big family everywhere. A day doesn't go by that you have a special place in my heart with prayer. I do know you will be very strong again one day. The good Lord loves his children of all ages and only wants the best for them. God bless you and your family.

This afternoon, Paul and I were reading aloud at the Scott-Farrar Home in Peterborough. The book is Inconvenient Truth by Al Gore. I don't believe in coincidences, so when the book began a section called "Turning Point" I was not surprised when it turned out to be about when he and Tipper almost lost their six-year-old son Albert, who was hit by a car right in front of them. He went on to write about their vigil, so similar to our shared one now. Our audience couldn't have known how the reading was affecting us as I struggled to read without letting on that my thoughts were with you and Jaiden.

On this Christmas Eve, we take hope that miracles have already taken place this week with eyes opening and small movements. Tonight at 11 PM, Paul and I will be singing in our Christmas choir, and our voices will be sent out to you all. Having seen the power of prayer so many times before, we will be praying fervently for continued miracles, in Christ's name.

Holleigh, Paul & Jaiden, this is Deanna (Bergeron) Sullivan writing. Jaiden, I met you, your dad, your brother and sisters last summer and saw your mom for the first time in years (what a treat!). I want you all to know that we are saying prayers as loud and often as we can here for you in Francestown.

I cried when I heard news of your accident...but am overjoyed by the miraculous steps that seem to be being made daily now. I know good, happy, healthy things lay ahead for you and your family and will continue to watch this blog daily. Merry Christmas with love.

Hi Holleigh, Paul and family! It seems everything turns my thoughts to you. I was reading a book of Christmas stories. One by Vladimir Nabokov had a passage about a beautiful, rare butterfly in a crysallis that came to life after a long sleep. I thought how like Jaiden that is. She is cocooned in her healing as she needs to be. Blessed Christmas to you all.
