Message from the Tlapa Family about Jaiden's Public Memorial Service

A public memorial service to celebrate the life of Jaiden Lyndi Tlapa will be held in Milford NH, at Hampshire Hills Club on Sunday, March 9 at 1:00 PM. Pastor Tom Getchell-Lacey from the Milford United Methodist Church will preside over the service.

Attendees are encouraged to wear the color blue, as this was Jaiden's favorite color.

We will have a memory box at the service to collect a short note to Jaiden, a special memory, photo, or other creation. Please try to keep these items to 4" x 6" size or smaller if possible, as we hope to incorporate them into a scrapbook album one day.

Children are encouraged and welcome. Our only request is that if your child is being disruptive or loud during the service that you please take them upstairs above the tennis courts where you will still be able to view the service through glass panes.

Thank you again for all the love and support you have offered our family during this time of sadness. We will never forget your actions, just as we hope you will never forget our Jaiden.

All our Love,
The Tlapa's ~ Holleigh, Paul, Lexi, Aspen, Gage, and Angel Jaiden

To All Parents

"I'll lend you a little time a child of mine," he said.
"For you to love while she lives and mourn for when she dies."

"It may be six or seven years or twenty-two or three
But will you, till I call her back,
take care of her for Me?"

"She'll bring her charms to gladden you, and should her stay be brief,
You'll have those lovely memories as solace for you grief."

"I cannot promise she will stay since all from earth return, but, there are lessons taught down there I want this child to learn."

"I've looked this wide world over in search for teachers true." And from the throngs that crowd life's lane, I have selected you."

"Now will you give Her all your love. Not think the labor vane, Nor hate me when I come to call to take her back again."

"I fancied that I heard you say, Dear Lord, They will be done, For all the joy the child shall bring the risk of grief we'll run."

We'll shelter her with tenderness, We will love her as we may and for the happiness we've known forever grateful stay.

But should the angels call for her much sooner that we'd planned. We'll brave the bitter grief that comes and try to understand.

It still amazes me how one girl rallied an entire community and brought everyone together.

Each day I pray God provides the Tlapa family with the strength and peace they need.

'The Brave Little Soul'

Not too long ago in Heaven there was a little soul who took wonder in observing the world. She especially enjoyed the love she saw there and often expressed this joy with God. One day however the little soul was sad, for on this day she saw suffering in the world. She approached God and sadly asked, 'Why do bad things happen; why is there suffering in the world?'

God paused for a moment and replied, 'Little Soul, do not be sad, for the suffering you see, unlocks the love in people's hearts.' The little soul was confused. 'What do you mean,' she asked. 'God replied, 'Have you not noticed the goodness and love that is the offspring of that suffering? Look at how people come together, drop their differences and show their love and compassion for those who suffer. All their other motivations disappear and they become motivated by love alone.'

The little soul began to understand and listened attentively as God continued, 'The suffering soul unlocks the love in people's hearts much like the sun and the rain unlock the flower within the seed. I created everyone with endless love in their heart, but unfortunately most people keep it locked up and hardly share it with anyone. They are afraid to let their love shine freely, because they are afraid of being hurt. But a suffering soul unlocks that love. I tell you this - it is the greatest miracle of all. Many souls have bravely chosen to go into the world and suffer - to unlock this love - to create this miracle - for the good of all humanity.'

Just then the little soul got a wonderful idea and could hardly contain herself. With her wings fluttering, bouncing up and down, the little soul excitedly replied, 'I am brave; let me go!! I would love to go into the world and suffer so that I can unlock the goodness and love in people's hearts! I want to create that miracle!!'

God smiled and said, 'You are a brave soul I know, and thus I will grant your request. But even though you are very brave you will not be able to do this alone. I have known since the beginning of time that you would ask for this and so I have carefully selected many souls to care for you on your journey. Those souls will help create your miracle; however they will also share in your suffering. Two of these souls are most special and will care for you, help you and suffer along with you, far beyond the others. They have already chosen a name for you.'

God and the brave little soul shared a smile, and then embraced. In parting, God said, 'Do not forget little soul that I will be with you always. Although you have agreed to bear the pain, you will do so through my strength. And if the time should come when you feel that you have suffered enough, just say the word, think the thought, and you will be healed.'

Thus at that moment the brave little soul was born into the world, and through her suffering and God's strength, she unlocked the goodness and love in people's hearts. For so many people dropped their differences and came together to show their love. Priorities became properly aligned. People gave from their hearts. Those that were always too busy found time. Many began new spiritual journeys - some regained lost faith - many came back to God. Parents hugged their children tighter. Friends and family grew closer. Old friends got together and new friendships were made. Distant family reunited, and every family spent more time together. People checked a website and sent notes of encouragement. People made and brought meals to the family of the suffering. Everyone prayed. Peace and love reigned. Lives changed forever. It was good. The world was a better place. The miracle had happened.

God was pleased ......

I just read your article in The Cabinet, and again my heart is touched by your faith and strength. No one should have to go through what your family is enduring, but I know that Jaiden's memory will live on in ways we can only imagine.

Holleigh,
I just wanted to take a minute to let you know that i was thinking of you and your family. when i lost my dad several yrs back someone once sd this to me:

Death is a heartache that no one can heal. Love leaves a memory that no one can steal.

Thats so true. You may always have the heartache but,You will also always have those wonderful memories that will never fade due to all the love you gave Jaiden. In not just speaking for myself but, for everyone else
everywhere,Jaiden will always live on in our hearts and never be forgotten.

We know it must've been very
difficult for you to do but,We wanted to thankyou for putting together jaiden's public memorial service for everyone to celebrate her life.

God Bless all of you.
